This series of tweets was in response to Boris Johnson telling schoolkids that what makes him angry on the road is big lorries bullying him on his pushbike when he is, he started to say 'in the middle of the....' then corrected himself. But clearly imposing his speed on other essential road users. Keith Peat had simply asked: 'Why must we have cycling?'
John Stevens, lists himself as a Bike Journo and Editor no less of Road CC a top cyclist's online magazine. Clearly unable to answer a very fair and valid question, his only re-course is to expletives and abuse. So much for the case for road cycling then!
So much for the justification of the Cycle Lobby for road cycling. The question remains. Why must we have road cycling? Anybody?
