Who are RoSPA and what do they know about road safety?

We are a voluntary road safety group of ex police expertise.

We are very concerned that road safety and road safety comment and policy in the UK is now entirely based on profit, anti driver ideology or other vested interests. A life and death issue run on the aspirations and views of people with no background or CV in the subject.

This is resulting in many unnecessary road casualties from a failure to address accident causes, and many thousands of prosecutions of perfectly safe drivers on the basis of bogus causes.

I am sure you will agree that good road safety cannot possibly emanate from amateur profit, ideology and vested interests.

On the roads, using your own studies, we can get a very good perspective of where UK's road accidents fit in the scheme of things. See here There can only be one conclusion from this. UK road safety isn't about death and injury.  See this simple graphic.

We provide free expert information and advice on road safety. In providing driver training, RoSPA does have a vested interest in road safety but should still owe it to the community to be honest about it.

Is RoSPA willing to join with us to achieve the most effective, cheapest road safety with the minimum of driver prosecution?

Wishes
